How Old is Too Old for Kids to Use a Pacifier?
EAGAN AND St. Paul, MINNESOTA – Recent photos of 4-year-old Suri Cruise- daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes- using a pacifier have sparked debate over how old is too old, and Eagan and St. Paul orthodontist Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth has weighed in on the subject.
“It’s important to remember that sucking is a natural reflex in infants, and many babies suck their thumbs in the womb,” says Dr. Eisenhuth, a St. Paul orthodontics expert. “But prolonged thumb sucking and pacifier use can lead to problems with teeth alignment, as well as issues relative to the roof of the mouth.” Read more >>

EAGAN, ST. PAUL AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – The Dakota County Tribune Business Weekly recently announced that Eagan and St. Paul Orthodontist Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth has won their Exceptional Businesswoman award.
Eisenhuth, a St. Paul braces expert, will receive her award at a luncheon in February. News of the award will be published in a special issue of DCT Business Weekly on Jan. 27.

Orthodontic Check-up Detects Congenitally Missing Teeth, says St. Paul Orthodontist
ST. PAUL AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – There is an old school of thought that patients in need of orthodontic treatment should wait until all of their adult teeth have erupted.
But what happens when some of those adult teeth never erupt? Patients can needlessly prolong treatment, making treatment time longer, said St. Paul orthodontist Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth.
That is one reason why the American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children receive an initial orthodontic evaluation by age 7. In addition to early treatment that can lessen the time a child spends in future treatment, an orthodontist can confirm that a child has all of his or her adult teeth, said Eisenhuth, who owns Cosmopolitan Orthodontics, an Eagan and St. Paul orthodontics practice. Eagan and St. Paul Orthodontist to Observe National Children’s Dental Health Month
EAGAN, ST. PAUL AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth, an Eagan and St. Paul orthodontist, will observe National Children’s Dental Health Month in February by educating students on oral care and reenforcing good habits.
Eisenhuth celebrates the awareness month each year by getting out into the community and into area schools to give away toothbrushes, dental floss and toothpaste, she said. She also speaks to classes on the importance of caring properly for teeth so children can keep them for a lifetime.
