Inver Grove Heights Orthodontist Supports July 4th Funfest Children’s Events
EAGAN, INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, ST. PAUL AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – The 2010 Independence Day Funfest celebration in Eagan marked the third year that Eagan and Inver Grove Heights orthodontist Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth served as a Funfest sponsor.
Funfest is a four-day event that began July 1 with the Miss Eagan Funfest Ambassador Coronation and ended July 4 with the fireworks display.
This year’s event also helped the city celebrate its 150th birthday with a separate parade on July 3. Part of the celebration included bringing back the Children’s Funfest Bike Parade, an old tradition. Other activities included concerts, Old West reenactments, a pancake breakfast and a comedy juggling show.
Eisenhuth’s Eagan and Inver Grove Heights orthodontics practice sponsored the children’s activities, which were held on July 3 this year, according to the Funfest website.
Two years ago, Eisenhuth, an Inver Grove Heights Invisalign specialist, donated items to be passed out to children at the event. Last year, her $1,000 donation sponsored the children’s activities.
“We enjoy taking our children to family and community-oriented events such as this, and we know other families do, too,” said the Eagan and Inver Grove Heights braces provider. “Having plenty of activities to keep the kids busy makes it memorable for them and we wanted to have a role in making that happen. We were happy to be able to do that once again this year.”
The success of community events such as Funfest are dependent upon the generosity of individuals and businesses throughout the community, said Raleigh Seelig prior to last year’s event. Seelig has chaired the July 4th Funfest committee for more than 20 years.
