Innovations in Invisalign Make Class II and III Treatment More Effective
EAGAN, MENDOTA HEIGHTS, ST. PAUL AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth, an Eagan orthodontist, soon will start using new technological innovations introduced in October 2010 by Align Technology, the makers of Invisalign.
Invisalign G3 makes it easier to more effectively treat Class II and Class III malocclusion with Invisalign aligners, Eisenhuth said, adding that she looks forward to introducing the products to patients in her Eagan, orthodontics practice.Invisalign G3 is a series of new aligner and software features. Correcting Class II and III malocclusion often necessitates the use of elastics for anchorage control. G3 enables orthodontists to direct precision cuts in each series of the patient’s aligners for easier use of elastics with those aligners.
Before Invisalign G3, doctors who wanted to use elastics in cooperation with Invisalign had to manually cut the aligners themselves, said the Eagan Invisalign provider.
Other upgrades with G3 include SmartForce features such as Optimized Attachments designed for better predictability of certain tooth movements; the Power Ridge for lower anteriors; the Lingual Power Ridge for upper anteriors; and the Optimized Rotation Attachment for bicuspids.
New ClinCheck software also is available. Align Technology promises that the software upgrade is easier to use, more intuitive and makes the treatment planning and review process more efficient, said Eisenhuth, who also is an Eagan Incognito braces provider.
“The software upgrade makes it possible for me to quickly and easily alter a patient’s treatment plan when I need to,” said the Eagan invisible braces specialist.
