Give a Toy to A Tot This Holiday Season
EAGAN AND MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA – As we enter the season of giving, we encourage our patients to join us in giving to needy children through the Toys for Tots program.
We have collection boxes in our office and now through Dec. 19, you can donate new, unwrapped toys to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.Giving not only will make you feel good; you’ll get something in return. Our patients who donate toys will be rewarded with tokens, which you can collect and redeem for great prizes.
“We have a history of taking part in a variety of community-oriented causes, and Toys for Tots is a great way for us to encourage our patients to get involved, too,” says Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth, an Eagan and Mendota Heights braces expert who provides braces for adults and children. In the five years the orthodontic braces office has participated in the program, Dr. Eisenhuth’s patients have really exhibited a generous spirit, says the invisible braces specialist. “We have some of the best patients in the world,” Dr. Eisenhuth says. “They understand that times are tough for some people, and they genuinely want to take part in making the holidays better for a child in need. It warms your heart to see that in action.”

Four Reasons to Start Orthodontic Treatment in the Summer
ST. PAUL AND EAGAN, MINNESOTA – School is out and this is the perfect time to have your child evaluated for braces.
Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth, an Eagan and St. Paul pediatric orthodontist, gives four reasons why summer is the best time to begin orthodontic treatment:
1. No Homework, No School
This allows your child plenty of time for start orthodontic treatment without his/her appointments conflicting with school schedules.
2. Time To Adjust
“Getting braces during the summer months allows your child time to adjust to wearing the appliances, and to get over the initial soreness,” says Dr. Eisenhuth, an Invisalign provider. Once the braces are put on, the teeth may feel uncomfortable for the first few days. After the teeth adjust to the new equipment, your child can return to their daily activities.
“School and homework are enough to worry about for a child,” says Dr. Eisenhuth. “We want our patients to start the school year feeling good about their smile.”

Summer vacation has arrived, which means youth sports activities are just around the corner. Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth, a Minneapolis orthodontist, offers special mouth guards for those with braces. These mouth guards can also be purchased at most sporting goods stores.
There are a few options when purchasing mouth guards. Stock mouth protectors are ready to wear and cannot be adjusted. These are relatively inexpensive, and they can be found at most sporting goods stores. The boil and bite protectors are also available at sporting goods stores, yet these could offer a better fit. This guard is made from a thermoplastic material and can be molded to the teeth after being placed in hot water. Finally, you could go for the custom-fitted mouth protector. These have to be professionally made to get a proper fit, according to WebMD. Read more >>
